Alumni Membership Program
The Alumni’s Membership serves as the backbone and the stakeholders who support the vision, mission and purpose of the organization. These are Scarabs that represent commitment and loyalty as they nurture the growth of the organization. The membership volunteers on program committees and participate in school/alumni activities as well as assist the Association in hosting alumni events.
School Assistance Program
The Alumni’s School Assistance Program serve as a support base and resource for the school, students and staff to assist in the enrichment of the school and community. The Program entails the enlistment of alumni and community leaders to serve as alumni volunteers from various professions and experiences. This includes welcoming students on first day of school, calling parents of students who have accumulated 5 or more unexcused absences, help in provision of food-Home Coming, Chaperone Prom, Attend School Sports Events/Pep Rallies and provide Senior Class with Graduation DVD’s.
Alumni Reunion Assistance Program
The Reunion Assistance Program serves as a vehicle to encouraging class reunion committees to inherit the Association’s theme of becoming scholarship driven and service oriented. Alumni class committees/merged classes are provided with information through conducting workshops and presentations of building strong committees with resources for the purpose of donating to the Association’s Alumni Scholarship Fund.
Alumni Scholarship Program
The Alumni Scholarship Program enhanced by the activities of the Class Scholarship Bandwagon the scholarship program is geared to provide services and scholarships to current seniors graduating from East Technical High School to further their education. This program entails the following: Recipient Application/Selection Process, Alumni Class Scholarship Bandwagon. The Scholarship Bandwagon helps to pool alumni donations for investment in the future of the current students of ETHS.
Alumni Event Fundraising Program
The “Walk 4 Dollars 4 Scholars” annual event is held in (May) at East Tech and the walk route is within the East Tech Community. This event restores pride within the community as they join alumni as active participants where they too assist in fostering pride as volunteer walkers and contributing donors.
Educational Mentoring Program
ETAA’s Educational Outreach Program is a mentorship voluntary initiative where East Tech Alumni serve as mentors and professional role models for the ETHS students. Alum from various professional backgrounds encourages and assists students in reaching their full potential and higher academic achievements by equipping them with the necessary tools to succeed.
Community, Alumni and School’s Together Program (CAST)
The CAST Program serves as a direct link to the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and the East Tech Community. This program’s committee members serve as community liaisons for ETAA in advocating for the current students and the East Tech legendary longevity in its existence as a thriving Cleveland Public High School.
